Fusion Global HR: Mapped Position and Assignment DFF Segment is not Editable after Position Synchronization (Doc ID 2893875.1)

Goal

Two DFF segments were created for both Position and Assignment levels, and these segments were mapped.
When Position Synchronization was enabled, one of the segments is editable on Employee Assignment and one is greyed out (not editable).
Why are the two segments behaving differently with Position Synchronization?
