The "Include Only Previous Action Takers" Setting Is Not Working and Allows User to Select from All Users on that Step. (Doc ID 2894728.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 12, 2022

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR:

The "Include only previous action takers" setting for a Business Process workflow is not working as expected. There is a Step in the workflow called 'XYZ_Step' which is revisited. At this step, the user will send the record to users on the 'Review' step multiple times and back to the 'XYZ_Step'. With the "Include only previous action takers" setting selected on the 'XYZ_Step', the system should prevent users on the 'Review' step from sending the record to a new users at the 'XYZ_Step' who didn't previously take action on that step.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:

If the "Include only previous action takers" setting is selected on a revisited step, the users should not be able to resend the record to other users on that step.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. In Unifier:
  2. Navigate to the desired Company/Project/Shell Workspace > select the desired Business Process (BP) > Create a new BP record.
  3. Send the record to the 'XYZ_Step' (for testing purposes send it to yourself).
  4. Send the record to the 'ABC_Step' (for testing purposes send it to yourself).
  5. Send the record back to the 'XYZ_Step'. In the To field, select any other users assigned to this step (who did not previously take action on this step).
  6. Observe that the record was sent to other users on this step (who previously did not take action on this step), in spite the "Include only previous action takers" setting being enabled.
