Oracle Hosted OCI Cloud: Large File Downloads (>100Mb) From Unifier Document Manager Directories Or Sub-Directories, Or From Business Process (BP) Records Or Line Items, May Not Complete Or May Be Corrupted (Doc ID 2898069.1)

Last updated on MARCH 15, 2023

Applies to:

Primavera Unifier Cloud Service - Version 21.12.2.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When attempting to download a large files (>100Mb) from Unifier Document Manager with several Folders, sub-folders and files, the "Files.Zip" file may be incomplete or the following error may be displayed when attempting to open the zip file:  "Windows cannot open this folder. The Compressed (zipped) folder ... is invalid."

When the file is just incomplete, there are some sub-folders and files that were unexpectedly not included in the resulting ZIP file. It seems to complete the download, there are no errors generated during the download, yet the file is incomplete based on a review of the contents of the directory via the user interface (UI).

This problem could also occur for other file types larger than 100Mb, they may just be incomplete or corrupt files.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
The top folder, and all sub-folders and files should be included in the downloaded ZIP file. Downloaded files larger than 100Mb should be complete and not corrupt.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log into the Unifier environment.
  2. Navigate to a Project/Shell where the issue has been observed > Document Manager > Documents > Drill down a few directories > Find a directory that contains many sub-directories and files to that the resulting zip file will exceed 100Mb.
  3. Select Directory/Folder > Gear icon > Download.
  4. A "Files.zip" file is downloaded that is between 100Mb and 1.8Gb maximum.
  5. Try to open the "Files.zip" in 7-Zip and it is missing directory and files, or it will generate this error: "Windows cannot open this folder. The Compressed (zipped) folder ... is invalid."
  6. Navigate to a Business Process record or Line Item that contains attachments of any type larger than 100Mb > Attempt to download the file.
  7. The file download does not complete, or the resulting file is corrupted.
