The "Is Empty" Query Filter Does Not Work On A Date Timestamp Data Element (Doc ID 2898745.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 12, 2022

Applies to:

Primavera Unifier Cloud Service - Version 22.7 to 22.9 [Release 22.7 to 22.9]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR:

User is unable to use the "Is Empty" query condition on a date timestamp data element within a User-Defined Report (UDR).

Within a User-Defined Report (UDR), Unifier does not allow Save for any date timestamp data element when the value of the 'Condition' is set to the "is empty" value. However, if the value is changed to 'is NOT empty', the query condition can be saved.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:

In UDRs, a user should be able to successfully Save the query condition value for a date timestamp data element to 'is empty'.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log in to Unifier as the Administrator.
  2. Navigate to the desired project > Reports > User-Defined > Open the desired report.
  3. Edit report > Click on the Query tab > +Add > Query Condition based on Data Element > Select any Date data element and select the 'Condition' as 'is empty' > Click Save and observe that nothing happens to this window, it stays open, and the condition is not saved.
    1. However: if the Condition selected is 'is Not empty', the Query Condition saves successfully on clicking Save.
