Symptoms

Prepayment of foreign currency invoices getting posted with inverted exchange rate when compared to exchange rate on the invoice.

Steps to Recreate:

  1. Choose a supplier with foreign currency and ensure that currency rates are in place.
  2. Create a Purchase Order (PO) for a foreign supplier.
  3. Create an invoice for the PO.
  4. Notice that exchange rate in the invoice is same as exchange rate in the PO.
  5. Prepay the invoice.
  6. Notice that invoice got posted with inverted exchange rate.
