Symptoms

When trying to login to PBCS instance using EPM Automate login command, it just hangs and shows error: Connection timed out

Following error from EPM Automate debug log:

failed: Connection timed out: connect
at org.apache.http.impl.conn.DefaultHttpClientConnectionOperator.connect(DefaultHttpClientConnectionOperator.java:156)
at org.apache.http.impl.conn.PoolingHttpClientConnectionManager.connect(PoolingHttpClientConnectionManager.java:374)
at com.hyperion.epmctl.client.processor.EPMCTLProcessor.main(EPMCTLProcessor.java:123)
Caused by: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: connect

Changes

 Update on the server host file on where EPM Automate is installed.
