EPM Integration Agent Returning Error "Proxy Authentication Is Not Enabled" (Doc ID 2903054.1)

When trying to start the EPM Integration Agent for the first time, an error is returned: (error: the proxy authentication is not enabled) when I try to start the EPMAgent. However, it is possible connect to the URL using EPMAutomate.
