Oracle Fusion Public Sector: Transaction Names Displayed On Task Management Page Is Not Plain Language
(Doc ID 2905636.1)
Last updated on DECEMBER 14, 2022
Applies to:
Oracle Public Sector Business Licenses Cloud Service - Version 11.13.22.01.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Expected:
Transaction name and assigned user name will show the full English version of the transaction type and the full name of the user.
Actual:
Transaction name is the transaction type's code and the user's name is their log-in, not their name.
Steps:
1. Log in as an agency user who is assigned to some tasks.
2. Go to the Task Management page (All Tasks icon).
3. Look at the Transaction information and see if the type of transaction is obvious or if you have to parse it out from the code that's displayed.
4. Look at the Assignment information and see if you can simply read the full name of the user to whom the task is assigned, or if it displays the user's log-in username.
This is a common issue throughout the application: codes and usernames displayed instead of plain language names of objects and people. Testing should be done where the code is clearly a code and the name is clearly a name so these things will be noticed and fixed before they are deployed. I notice often the code and the name of an object are the same, and that is both abnormal and also hides issues that come out in front of customers.
