Automatic Role Assignment ( ARA ) Not Assigning the Role If Participant Is Already End-Dated CN_ARA_ROLE_ASSGN_DTRNG_E (Doc ID 2906711.1)

Symptoms

Calculation completed successfully but Credits show Eligibility Error.
When checked the compensation plan , noticed that the role containing the compensation plan was not assigned.
When checked the role proposal, saw that it has error status.

ERROR
The role member assignment dates must fall
within the participant start and end dates or compensation end date,
whichever is greater. ( CN_ARA_ROLE_ASSGN_DTRNG_E )

STEPS
 1. Manage Parameters :
     Enable Participant Termination Processing = Yes
     Period End for Compensation End Date: Periods = 4
 2. Create Users with Sales Consultant I job code
 3. Run All Participant Processes ( Get Participant only ) to create participant ( start date 1/1/22 - null end date )
 4. User is terminated in HCM ( termination date 8/1/22 )
 5. Run All Participant Processes -- participant is updated with [ Active End Date ] = 8/1/22 , [ Compensation End Date ] = 11/30/22
 6. Create Participant Assignment Rules ( 1/1/22 - 12/31/22 )
     a. IC Demo ARA Consultant 1 Role (criteria: HCM Job = Sales Consultant I )
     b. IC Demo ARA Pay Group Roles (criteria: SPM Source = DEMO )
     c. IC Demo ARA Consultants Payment Plan Role (criteria: HCM Job like Sales Consultant% )
 7. Assign comp plan to Role "IC Demo ARA Consultant 1"
 8. Run All Participant Processes
 9. View Participant Snapshot > Review Role Assignment Proposals
     See Proposed Role with date range 1/1/22 - 11/30/22 , click on [ACCEPT] and [SUBMIT]
10. Review the log for Deploy Participant Assignment Proposals process and see error.
