GL:SEC: Data Access Set restricts BSV but do not Restrict Legal Entity Values (Doc ID 2907360.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 20, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Fusion General Ledger Cloud Service - Version 11.13.22.01.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
From restricted SR 3-30886946671

Goal

On Fusion Setup, find that Security rule as per Balancing Segment Value(BSV) does not work for same users with roles associated to different (Business Units) BUs

A user who has access to 2 different BUs is able to view BSV values of both the BUs under the same BU.
Enterprise structure has a Single Ledger having two Legal Entities with different BSVs associated to it.

Each LE has one BU associated to it.
In the case of a user having access to both BUs, data access set does not restrict BSV per BU.
In other words, the user is able to enter transactions with both BSVs in both the BUs.

Business requirement does not permit multiple user ids for the same user nor can we have one to one relation between a Ledger LE and BU for enterprise structure.

Please suggest alternative workaround for data partition among BUs
