ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
Edit Purchase Order
Edit Purchase Order, PO Charge Account Window are allowing to select an invalid combination, combination with invalid/account segment/data type value.
Edit Purchase Order > Validate does not return an error.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
PO Charge Account Value/ Combination/Segment validation/error should be consistent, occur in Edit Purchase Order and PO Charge Account window despite of the way the account combination is being entered.
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Disabled value "Z" for Data type for Combinations
Transactions should not be entered for combinations that contain segment2/data type = Z.
2. go to Manage Accounting Combinations to check if this validation is in effect.
> if you type data type/segment2 value = Z, an error is returned
Invalid Value Z
3. Go to Edit Purchase Order UI
> it has different behavior
The buyer RECEIVES AN ERROR when
buyer goes to po charge account field,
selects edit,
select each field value for combination, populate data type =Z
An error is returned:
This combination is invalid. Data type Z is not in the list of values
The buyer DOES NOT RECEIVE AN ERROR
If the same po charge account/ account combination is populated as follows:
Either
Populates the PO charge account manually with the invalid combination
or
Goes to po charge account value,
Selects edit,
Populates first segment and second segment data type =Z
Run a search
Selects a combination from the 4 combination values returned
AN ERROR IS NOT RETURNED
Purchase Order > Validate Action
DOES NOT return an error
