Oracle Cloud

Announcement:

Hello XXX,
Oracle PaaS Service Manager (PSM) w
ill undergo planned maintenance to update to the latest WebLogic Server (WLS)
version: WLS 12.2.1.4.

Why is this maintenance required?
Starting December 2022, WLS version 12.2.1.3 will no longer be supported or End-Of-Life (EOL).
PSM is currently using WLS 12.2.1.3. Therefore, we are upgrading to the newer WLS 12.2.1.4, and upgrading the WebLogic requires the domain to be shutdown.

How will this affect my service?
This activity will not cause any downtime to your instances. However, you will not be able to perform life-cycle management operations such as starting, stopping, backup, and patching of your service instances during the planned maintenance window.

Are there any required actions I need to take?
No action is required from you. The service will return to normal operation when the maintenance is complete. We recommend that you do not perform lifecycle operations on the service instances during the maintenance window.

Can I do anything to work around or avoid this maintenance window?
There is no way to work around or avoid this maintenance, as it is being performed on the core infrastructure.

Where can I find additional information?
For more information about stopping a domain, see Planning an Upgrade to Oracle Fusion Middleware 12c
.
For more information regarding EOL WLS, see WebLogic Server 12.2.x Releases
.
