Cannot Update "Manage Pay Groups" For Participant (CN-1575566) An assignment can't start before the participant active start. (Doc ID 2916952.1)

Symptoms

Cannot update the end-date for participant in  "Manage pay groups" .

Participant left on Oct 28,2022 and user was able to complete the participant termination process except for the last stage of updating the end date on the "Participant Snapshot"-->"Task"-->"Manage pay groups".
It seems the start date entered there does not match the start dates in other screens.


ERROR
The assignment start date for the participant TestUser must be equal to or later than the participant active start date 2020-03-02. (CN-1575566)
An assignment can't start before the participant active start.
You must enter an assignment start date that's on or before 2020-03-31 because this pay group is used to create paysheets for the Mar 2020 Canada payment batch. (CN-1575504)



STEPS
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
Participant Snapshot > Search TestUser > Manage Pay Groups
  [ Start Date ] = 2/26/20
  [ End Date ] = null , change to 10/28/22 , SAVE and get error message
