FA:SCM:INV Are On Hand Quantities Validated Based on Transaction date or Current Date? (Doc ID 2918265.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 04, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Fusion Inventory Management Cloud Service - Version 11.13.22.07.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Are on hand quantities validated based on transaction date or current date?

Say, there are no on hand quantities on day 1 and there are enough on hand quantities on day 2.
When performing Miscellaneous Issue on day 1, it does not error even though 'Allow Negative Balances' is set to No.
It implies On Hand Quantities are validated based on current date, not transaction date. Is it an intended behavior?

Example:
'Allow Negative Balances' is set to No.
1.Create Miscellaneous Receipt with transaction date = sysdate. For example, 12/27 0:0:0
2.Create Miscellaneous Issue with transaction date = past date. For example 12/23 0:0:0
Result:No error happens.
