How To Encode a Password when the "" Script Is Not Available (Doc ID 2919192.1)

As explained in <Document 423842.1>, the "" script is commonly used for encoding Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) passwords.

However, ODI Enterprise and ODI on MP default installations (ODI J2EE Agent and ODI on MP Jetty/standalone Agent) do not have ODI Command Line Tools available (such as the script), requiring manual installation of a collocated/standalone Agent (see <Document 2374805.1>).

How can one encode a password if the script is not available?
