Error: "Alert Failed to send document(s) for E-Signature." When Sending A Unifier Document For DocuSign E-Signature (Doc ID 2920030.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to send a Business Process (BP) record attachment for DocuSign digital signature, the following error message is displayed in the Unifier User Interface. It is occurring with existing and new attachments.

"Alert Failed to send document(s) for E-Signature."

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log into Unifier.
  2. Navigate to the Project/Shell > Business Processes > BP1 > Find and Open "BP1-0001" > Attachments tab > Select any document > Select "Send for E-Signature"
  3. The Error message above is displayed in Unifier.
