Do changes in "Allow offline sync and update activities after overnight within the following number of hours" setting apply retroactively to activities? (Doc ID 2920821.1)

Goal

 In the Configuration > Business Rules screen we have the setting 'Allow offline sync and update activities after overnight within the following number of hours' set to 0 (zero). We would like to change the configuration and allow updates on activities completed in the past ~30 days. If I change the value from 0 to 720, will it impact previous activities that are already in final status or it will take effect from now on?
