Goal

How to handle Retail Integration Cloud Service (RICS) upgrade activities when USM Service Mapper templates are customized.

 

Example

Merchandising Foundation Cloud Service (MFCS) is integrated with LogFire (Warehouse Management System application). Base templates do not map the comment_desc field on transfers from MFCS to LogFire.

Configuration for RibTOLogFireStockOrder_SOCre_RequestDataMapping.template is modified to populate cust_field_1 on transfers to LogFire.

After an upgrade, the customization vanishes and cust_field_1 in the template is empty.
