Oracle Permitting and Licensing: Synchronizing Roles and Role-to-User Associations in IDCS (Doc ID 2923078.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 23, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Public Sector Permits Cloud Service - Version 11.13.23.01.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Beginning on February 20 th 2023, automated role and role-to-user synchronization between Oracle Permitting and Licensing (OPAL) and Oracle Identify Cloud Service (IDCS) will no longer occur. Manual intervention will be required by system administrators so that IDCS reflects the most current role and role-to-user information for roles required to process workflow tasks. Note that users will continue to be synchronized automatically. Prior to this change, a synchronization process ran automatically to ensure all users, roles, and role-to-user associations were reflected in IDCS for all Fusion Applications, including OPAL. With this automated synchronization process
running, any new or changed user, role, or user-to-role association in the OPAL system would be reflected in IDCS automatically, without manual intervention.
