Goal

To understand why XML structure is incorrect when a BI Publisher report is built using a Subject Area, not to be confused with create a Data Model using an OTBI Analysis.

  1. Create a report using Subject Area
  2. Set the output type to XML
  3. Run this report using a BI Publisher webservice by invoking the RunReport method
  4. Decode the BASE64 output you received
  5. The XML output received contains unique ids representing the columns instead of the column names
