Fusion Compensation: GSP: Grade Step Progression Process Update Step in Previous Salary Record (Doc ID 2930446.1)

In Grade Step Progression process, customer is using different dates for assignment and salary.

If assignment starts prior to salary, then the grade step is changing in previous and current salary records.
The expectation is, the grade step should change in current salary record only.

Additionally, the salary rate is not changing in previous salary record.

For example, an employee assignment is starting as of Jan-19-2023 and salary starting as of Jan-28-2023.
In employee salary page, the old salary record (ending on Jan 27) and new salary record (starting on Jan 28) step is updated to 9.

So, old salary record having salary rate as of step number 8 but the step is showing as 9 which is incorrect.

How to rectify this problem ?
