Symptoms

When trying to attach a second UHP (Ultra High Performance) volume to an instance, the following error is reported:

 

Changes

In order to attach a UHP volume, the shape must supports multipath-enabled attachments. To verify that a shape supports multipath-enabled attachments look for the value "Yes" in the Supports Ultra High Performance (UHP) column in the VM Shapes table in the following document - see here
