FAW: Validation Error While Disabling Unwanted Columns In A Custom Subject Area (Doc ID 2931287.1)

Symptoms

The requirement is, to remove/disable some unwanted columns in a custom subject area. While trying to edit the existing step in the Main branch of the semantic model that was used to create this custom subject area and disable unwanted columns, it fails with the error below:

Validation Error
Selecting a hierarchy requires you to select its display attributes as well. Following is the list of hierarchies and their missing display attributes.
