In A Non-Production Environment: "Error Code: [Random Generated String] an Unexpected Error Has Occurred, and the System Cannot Process Your Request" When Trying to Create Record (Doc ID 2933747.1)

Information in this document applies to any platform.


In any non-production Unifier environment where the Design, Configuration and/or Setup of a Business Process has been modified; when attempting to create a Business Process record in certain projects the following error occurs:

"Error Code: [Random Generated String] An unexpected error has occurred, and the system cannot process your request. Contact your System Administrator referencing this error code [Random Generated String].

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Attempt to create a Business Process record in the Project in question.
  2. Observe the unique error.
  3. Click Admin mode.
  4. Navigate to the Business Process 'Setup' and attempt to open the Workflow that is being used.
  5. Observe the alert message that the workflow schema tied to the workflow setup has been deleted in uDesigner.
