Older Version of Content Item Showing After Edit (Doc ID 2938475.1)

Symptoms

We have a content item in a theme used by multiple sites that was updated recently, where a value was removed (a message), but the message is still showing on one of our sites.

It is occurring only on the index page of the site, no other layouts are affected.

We have tried purging the cdn cache as well as unpublishing/republishing the content item and the issue is persisting.

Additionally, automatic compilation is turned off and there are no static files for the site currently.
