Changes in latest version of Work Definition gets reflected in all old versions
or
Work Definition versioning is overriding previous versions
We are creating Work Definition versions to track the changes made on work definitions. However we noticed a strange behavior with this functionality.
When we create a new version of Work definition to make any change in resource usage or Component usage, the change gets reflected in all the old versions.
For example - for item 6100007, we created WD= Main. Lately we created version 4 to make changes to the resource usage. To our surpise, the new value that we populated in version 4 was copied and got updated in all 4 versions.
This is defeating the whole purpose of creating the versions to track changes made on work definition.
