POM: Issues With The Stage Nightly Batch As Two Nightly Cycles Executed Over-night

Goal
Two nightly batch cycles were done over-night in POM. As a result, the business date has been advanced by one day from the actual calendar date.
Please advise us regarding:
1. The reason of the double-execution
2. How to fix this issue.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Change in the Scheduler Administration the execution time of the night batch from 22:00 to 23:00.
2. Observe batch ran same day at 22:00, while expectation was to run starting next day.
