On : 11.13.23.01.0 version, Capitalize Assets And Interest

Is it possible to Grey out the "Asset Number" field in Manage Project Capital Assets ?

The User chosen auto-numbering for all our assets in FA and would like to make the Asset Number field non-editable in Projects as well.
At this point when the users adds an Asset Number in Projects and transfers the asset. FA throws an error for the asset number. But the user wants to block the users from updating the field in the first place
