Actions

Customers relying upon TCB functionality must convert TCB scripts to TCC scripts. Recommended next steps are:

  1. Start an SR with support to get your TCB scripts exported.
  2. Formulate a plan to host those as TCC scripts:
    • Using in-house expertise to set up a TCC server and for future maintenance.
    • Using The Cloud Connectors to assist with the initial and future TCC needs. You can contact them at sales@thecloudconnectors.com
    • Selecting your own 3rd party consultancy via the Oracle Marketplace or elsewhere.

NOTE: For development/conversion of scripts, Oracle Support can only help with errors and general functionality of TCC usage.

QUESTIONS:

Q: Is the TCB dropbox (SFTP) impacted by this announcement?
A: The TCB dropbox is for sending/receiving TCB data and results files. After the TCB end of life, there won't be any TCB imports or exports.  This means that the TCB dropbox will no longer be available at that time.

Q: The date for the end of life is December 31, 2023. If a customer has a new solution ready before this, can they switch over to it ahead of the end of life date?
A: Yes. In fact, customers are encouraged to do the switch ahead of the end of life. When ready to switch, please submit a SR to Taleo integration support to let us know the TCB is no longer needed. Support will then turn off the recurring TCB schedules so that the TCB jobs no longer run.

NOTE:
The end of life is December 31, 2023. Please keep in mind that this date falls within Oracle's annual "winter break". Accordingly, it is recommended that customers complete their actions by the 2nd week of December.
