Symptoms

ASO business rule fails with below validation error message when year range (FY21:FY24) is assigned to global variable in calculation manager.

Validation message from Essbase: A validation error was received from the Planning server.
'Error:Unknown Member FY21:FY24 used in query Rule <App_Name>.<ASO_Cube_Name>.<Rule_Name>

Changes

New variable created or its value changed.
