During CSV Import, An Attachment's Filename Containing '&' Changes to '&' And The Attachment's Status Shows "Waiting For The File" (Doc ID 2947044.1)

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR:

When attempting to import data via a CSV File (with file attachments), if the attachment's file name contains the '&' symbol, then the system changes the file name by inserting '&' within the name and displays the status of the attachment as "waiting for the file".

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:

If the '&' symbol is part of the attachment's filename, then during CSV Import, the file should be uploaded successfully with the same name.


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log in to Unifier.
  2. Navigate to Project_XYZ > BusinessProcess_Node > BusinessProcess_ABC > Actions > Import > Data from CSV File.
  3. Select a .csv file with data that has attachment names having the '&' symbol within its name e.g. 'Test&1.pdf'.
  4. Now select the 'Test&1.pdf' file via 'Drag and Drop' feature and observe that the system changes the attachment's name to 'Test&1.pdf' instead and displays the status of the attachment as "waiting for the file".
