Visual Builder- Update BYODB ATP Wallet In Tenant Settings (Doc ID 2947646.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 10, 2023

Applies to:

Visual Builder Studio - Version 23.04.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Details

ATP-S DB starts rolling out server certificate changes.

Background: Per ADB August 2022 announcement, DigiCert has retired the Organizational Unit (OU) field for all public TLS/SSL certificates to comply with industry standards. The discontinuation of the OU field may affect the applications, tools, and/or services connected to your Autonomous Database (ADB-S) instance. For more information, see MOS Doc ID 2911553.1: [1]

This requires VBCS in BYODB setup to have update to date ATP wallet in VB. You should have received notification from ATP and VBCS multiple-times on this topic.

Actions

If you switched to your own Oracle ADB-S database in Visual Builder before January 10, 2023, you will need to update your wallet to avoid connections issues.

To do this:

1. From the OCI console, download your ADB-S wallet zip file using the new mTLS connection, as explained here: [2]

2. Update your Visual Builder tenant settings to reflect the new wallet: [3], using URL https://YourVisualBuilderHostname/ic/builder/?root=settings&settingsSection=tenant-database

Visual Builder will not be able to connect to your Autonomous Database instance if you dont complete these steps.

Additionally If the above mentioned wallet update has not be done, your Visual Builder Instance might be down.
