Symptoms

Analytics Publisher Data Model Throws "FAILED TO LOAD SQL" error when trying to create or edit a data set containing a backslash along with another character.

There are 2 use cases here

1) Editing an existing Data Model after receiving 23B update

Steps for Case 1

  1. Login to BI Catalog
  2. Edit an existing Data Model
  3. The error "FAILED TO LOAD SQL" is thrown

 

2) Creating a new Data Model after receiving the 23B update

Steps for Case 2

  1. Login to BI Catalog
  2. Create a Data Model
  3. Create a Data Set inside the Data Model
  4. Select "Type of SQL" as "Standard SQL" in the Data Set dialog box
  5. Write an SQL containing a backslash and another character
  6. Click OK
  7. The error "FAILED TO LOAD SQL" is thrown
