When Searching Business Process Logs, Wildcard Characters No Longer Generate Expected Search Results
(Doc ID 2950780.1)
Last updated on JUNE 08, 2023
Applies to:
Primavera Unifier Cloud Service - Version 23.4 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Recently the Unifier environments were upgraded on from Unifier version 21.12.x to 23.x. After the upgrade, when using the "Search" window to find and filter Business Process (BP) records in the BP log, the "%" wildcard no longer works as it did previously.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
The users expect to be able to insert the '%' wildcard into the Record Number search field to only find those records that meet the search criteria.
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Log into Unifier.
- Navigate to the "Home" tab > Master Log - Business Processes > BP1 > Search > Search window opens.
- In the "DE1" field, select "contains" and enter a text string that includes a wildcard (%) character in the search field. Example: "Test%"
- Click Apply.
- There are 0 results found.
- Clear the search criteria > Sort Ascending
- In the BP Log and in the "DE1" column scroll down and note that there is a BP record with a text string value (Test1) that meets the search criteria that was entered if the wildcard was working.
- Try to Search again > This time enter "Test1" as the criteria and the record noted above is found.
