In EDMCS, Node Template not calling Relationship level properties from other dimension (Doc ID 2951526.1)

Last updated on JUNE 06, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Enterprise Data Management Cloud Service - Version 23.04.56 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Having a property called “EntStd.MARSParent” and it was assigned to Business Unit Node Types. The property logic (only applies to Business Unit_EntStdParent Node Type)
Logic: if the node “EntStd.BU.Designation” property value equals to Business Unit MARS then return its own node name. Else it will take its immediate parent “EntStd.MARSParent” property value. Logic is working fine in this case.

Having another property name “EntStd.LB.BUMARSParent” and it was assigned to Company Code Dimension Node Types.
Logic: it will pull the Associated Business Unit’s (Property EntStd.LB.BU is a Node Template property and assigned node types are Business Unit Dimension Node Types) EntStd.MARSParent value. (Logic derived in Company Code_EntStdLEBU Node Type)

This logic is not getting expected results for this property (EntStd.LB.BUMARSParent). Disconnects happening, when the associated business unit’s EntStdMARSParent property is fetching value from its immediate parent.
