Why Is Gross Need 0 For Hierarchy Level Allocations? (Doc ID 2954650.1)

Goal

When creating a standard allocation based on sales history with Merchandise Level = Merchandise Hierarchy ,value Subclass or Class,  the gross need is shown as 0, even though there is sales history present for the location. It is populated as expected for item level calculations.

What is the reason of this issue?
