Introduction

Oracle Profitability and Cost Management Cloud provides a cloud-based modeling and calculation platform that supports financial modeling and allocation transformation processes in support of Oracle ERP and Oracle EPM. Profitability and Cost Management allows you to perform allocations and transformations of financial and operational data to support costing and assess profitability of business offerings, markets, and channels.
Oracle Profitability and Cost Management Cloud Service was introduced in 2016. In 2018 Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Enterprise Cloud Service was introduced (EPM Enterprise). EPM Enterprise includes Profitability and Cost Management (PCM) Business Process along with the full complement of EPM Business Processes. In June, 2022 Oracle released a new application type, Enterprise Profitability and Cost Management (EPCM) for all EPM Enterprise customers.

Going forward Oracle Development will focus future innovation efforts on EPCM. For the Profitability and Cost Management Application Type Oracle development will provide updates for 3rd party component compliance, security, and limited functional enhancements.
