Visual App Shows "The catalog object 'backends/<NAME>' was not found" for Custom Backend REST API (Doc ID 2965427.1)

Symptoms

Created a custom backend in VB Studio Environments, and Visual app has a REST API endpoint to this backend.

This works when previewing app from the workspace, but after deploying (using a Package & Deploy pipeline) and testing the app, the API is not executing, and browser console shows:

The catalog object 'backends/<NAME>' was not found in 'base'
