During the deployment of the Software Defined Data Center (SDDC), you must provide a SSH key pair which can be used to SSH into the ESXi hosts. If for some reason the keys are lost, you can enable <PASSWORD> based login to the ESXi host and replace the SSH Keys.
After successful replacement of key, you can login to the ESXi host with newly added key pair.
When the ESXi Host is restarted, logging using the new key pair is failed. The authorized_keys located at /etc/ssh/keys-opc changes back to the old SSH key pair.
