Fusion Analytics: Custom Semantic Models Are Using New Table DW_AR_INTERFACE_LINE_ATTR_D on PROJECT_ID (Doc ID 2966132.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 07, 2023

Applies to:

Fusion Analytics Warehouse - Version 23.R2.x to 23.R2.x [Release 23]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After upgrading Fusion Analytics to 23.R2, if there are semantic model extensions that joins the project table (DW_PROJECT_D) with the custom fact tables on PROJECT_ID column and when users run analysis on top of the extended model, there may be additional table (DW_AR_INTERFACE_LINE_ATTR_D) that gets generated in the physical query and joins that with the product dimension on PRODUCT_ID.

This may result in data inconsistency such as when you are not using the AR module, and you may not have data populated in the DW_AR_INTERFACE_LINE_ATTR_D results in zero results on your analysis.

The physical query where condition may look like the below:

where ( DW_AR_INTERFACE_LINE_ATTR_D.PROJECT_ID = DW_PROJECT_D.PROJECT_ID and DW_PROJECT_D.PROJECT_ID = CUSTOM_FACT.PROJECT_ID)

Changes

Upgraded Fusion Analytics from 23.R1 to 23.R2
