After Running the Import Contract Agreement ESS Process the Agreement Creation Failed (Doc ID 2971168.1)

After running the Import Contract Agreement ESS process, the Agreement does not get created for the contract fulfillment line. Instead, an error is shown under the Fulfillment Status.

Agreement creation failed


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Go to the Contract Overview page.
2. Select Autocreate Fulfillment Lines from Actions
3. Go to the Fulfillment tab and select the created fulfillment line.
4. Click on Actions (on the left side) and select Create Agreement.
6. Run the Import Contract Agreement ESS process using a Default Buyer that's different from buyer in the selected under Fulfillment details. 
7. Once the process is successfully completed, go back to the fulfillment tab and observe the error: Agreement created failed.
