Continuing Development on an Extension after the Human Capital Management Application is Upgraded to 23C

Oracle is currently upgrading 23B Fusion Applications environments to 23C, which includes new versions of many Human Capital Management (HCM) applications. You may have used Visual Builder Studio (VB Studio) to build extensions to various HCM functional areas (Career Development, Department, Directory, Journey, Learn, Opportunity Marketplace, Performance, Person, Position, Profiles, Skills, Succession, Timecards, and Touchpoints), or to customize Oracle’s out-of-the-box dynamic layouts.

When you launch the new versions of your HCM application in these upgraded environments, all 23B VB Studio extensions are applied to the 23C HCM versions at runtime, just as they were before. If you want to continue developing your 23B extension, even after the upgrade to 23C, you have to upgrade the accompanying workspace as well to ensure compatibility with the new HCM applications.
