Purpose
The C3 Network Validation Tool is intended for field engineers to test and validate a customer's environment prior to delivery of the C3 product. The tool will be run from the field engineer's notebook using a Linux OS (as a VM or native), which will run various network tests confirming correct network access and connectivity.
Scope
The tool will be run via the command line and read a JSON file containing network information and endpoint checks. The JSON file will need to be updated by the field engineer with local network specific details such as DNS servers, gateway and the customer's OCI region. The network tool will test access to the "ccc" service based on the region defined in the JSON file. Results of the test will be displayed to the user in text format and will be saved in a results text file. A log file will also be generated during the processing showing the progress and provide any debug information in case of failure.
