Symptoms

Using the logic from - Doc ID 2695512.1, the following rule was implemented:

Journal Header.Journal Total Accounted Credit*CurrencyConversion.getRate(Journal Header.Accounted Currency,"USD",Journal Batch.Creation Date and Time,"Test",0)

 

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

After the Journal Rule configuration was done using the spreadsheet, the approval process of the journals is failing with the following error:

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Journal Approval should work with user defined conversion rate type as well.

 

STEPS
-----------------------
1. Create a Journal Approval Rule where currency conversion is based on "Test" rate type (User defined).
2. Create a Journal matching the rule conditions and submit for approval.
3. System is showing the error: <The conversion type value in the currency conversion getRate function isn''t valid. (FUN-720920)>



BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot use Journal approval functionality as required.
