Error "Next key limit reached for column imagedata_image_id" When Attempting to Add a Stored Image via P6 Web (Doc ID 2976107.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to add a Stored Image via P6 Web, the following error occurs:

Next key limit reached for column imagedata_image_id. Please contact administrator for record maintenance.
An attempt to fetch a new NextKey for imagedata_image_id failed.

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. In P6 Web, navigate to Administration > Enterprise Data > Stored Images.
  2. Click Add and select the image file.
  3. Click Open.
  4. The File Upload window closes but the image is not saved and the reported error occurs.
