Oracle Commerce Cloud Service - Version NA and later Information in this document applies to any platform.
Purpose
Before launching a new CX Commerce site, there are several settings that need to be configured. This article provides a list of tasks that clients MUST review and complete BEFORE launching a site to the public. Whether you are launching a CX Commerce site for the first time or this is for an additional site, it is mandatory to complete the tasks per the requested timeframe.
The general flow is for you as the customer to create "New Site Go Live/Launch Preparation" SR ("primary SR") to notify Oracle that you are preparing to launch a new site, and after that Oracle Support will create task specific SRs on your behalf and link them to the primary SR. The SR structure would look like below.
You and Oracle will work together to complete each task. Once all tasks are done, You will update the primary SR to provide your preferred launch date/time. Oracle will make sure there are no scheduled activities (e.g. upgrade, patch implementation) around the requested time and will sign off the launch date/time. Then you will proceed with the site launch.
If you participate in the Implementation Support Program (ISP), your Implementation Support Lead (ISL) will open all the necessary SRs including the primary SR for your organization and guide you to complete tasks before the site launch. If you do not participate in this program, we ask you as the customer to open the New Site Go Live/Launch Preparation primarySR, then Oracle Support will create task specific SRs for you. Please refer to "1) Creating primary SR" task mentioned below for more details on opening the primary SR via the My Oracle Support (MOS) portal.
Here is the list of tasks that need to be reviewed and implemented:
Please note that at minimum, Oracle requires 8 weeks advance notice in order to assist in completing these tasks. This is to ensure site launch is first and foremost successful but also approved for cutover. Any delays in completing these tasks will impact the launch date.
