Symptoms
FCCM - Relationship Tab not working
This was expected to work after Feb / May releases were deployed in UNO Bank PRD environment.
Changes
As part of the fix we have made 2 changes:
a) Suboptimal PLAN generated even after all the dimensions are handled (like - stats, histograms are collected). After deep diving further, we have figured out that we were not able to supersede the behavior of Optimizer with any kind of change (like - using FULL/INDEX scans / forcing NL join paths). To solve the problem we had to put optimizer hint - to look at the same statement as if it is executed on Oracle 11g/12c. This will not cause any bad performance, as we are making the optimizer to generate an optimal plan.
b) To make the statement execute faster and reduce the throughput, we have technically modified few parts to reduce the network I/O.
