To Update Inventory Adjustment Reason Codes In PROD (Doc ID 2985733.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 15, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Enterprise Inventory Cloud Service - Version 23.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Request is to update the sub bucket for inventory adjustment reason code -82 from trouble to damaged in Production.

It is practically difficult for User to create one more Inventory adjustment for all RTV line items and then to proceed with RTV shipment, every time.
Could you please suggest any other permanent solution which will reduce User's extra efforts?

ERROR
-----------------------
The return quantity cannot be greater than the unavailable stock quantity.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. One unit got damaged in Store and it is decided to return to supplier.
2. Store user created Inventory adj with 'reason code 82- damage hold' which will push inventory to Trouble Sub bucket.
3. RMS user created RTV which reason- Damaged/defective. Created RTV flows to SIOCS from RMS with reason-DD.
4. Store user tries to approve the created RTV. SOCS throws error- 'The returned qty cannot be greater than unavailable store qty'.
5. Reason: RTV is booked with reason- DD- Damaged/Defective which refers to Damaged sub bucket as per Shipment reasons screen in EICS. But created Inventory adjustment moved the inventory to Trouble sub bucket as per Inventory Adjustment reasons screen.
Since inv adj sub bucket and shipment reason sub bucket are not in sync, User is unable to approve and ship RTV.
