Symptoms
Having an Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12c environment composed of:
- A Master Repository on a technology A (for example, Oracle)... and
- One or more Work Repositories on technologies other than A (for example, MySQL)...
The "Export of Technical Environment" incorrectly shows database and version on technology A for all the Work Repositories attached, including the Work Repository on technologies other than A.
In the example below, observe the database and version for the Work Repository called WORKREP_MYSQL is incorrect, while the internal Data Server created for it shows correct information:
...
MASTER,"0","05.02.02.11","Oracle","Oracle Database 12c Enterprise Edition...","Oracle JDBC driver","19.3.0.0.0"
WORK,"<ID>","WORKREP_MYSQL","W","MySQL","Oracle Database 12c Enterprise Edition...","MySQL Connector/J","mysql-connector-java-commercial-8.0.14 (Revision: ..."
...
TECHNO,"MySQL","WORKREP_MYSQL","MySQL","8.0.33","MySQL Connector/J","mysql-connector-java-commercial-8.0.14 (Revision: ...)"
...
To be correct, the "Export of Technical Environment" must show the database and version on the correct technology and version.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- Have a Master Repository on Oracle database, and a Work Repository on MySql.
- In ODI Studio, activate the floating menu, and chose: Export > Export the Technical Environment.
- Review the .csv file generated.
