Symptoms
ACTUAL BEHAVIOR:
Reverse Auto-Populate (RAP) to Company level Business Process (BP) trigger element resets a Sys Numeric Query data element (DE) value to zero. This only happens when the source BP is at the Project level and the destination is at the Company Level.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:
RAP to a Company level Business Process (BP) Query-Based Data Element (QBDE) from a Project Level BP should not reset the value of that QBDE. Instead, the correct calculated value should display.
The issue scenario can be explained with the following steps:
- Log in to Unifier.
- (User mode) Navigate to Company Workspace > Company Logs > Company_BP > create a record (e.g. Company_BP_001).
- The Company_BP_001 record has a couple of Query-Based DEs (QBDEs) that should be updated every time a Source BP record is created at the Project Level.
- The 'Amount Contracted' and 'Change Orders' are the 2 QBDEs. The field in question here is - 'Amount Contracted'.Observe that the value of the QBDE 'Amount Contracted' is 0.
- The Audit log also shows no QBDE values updated yet. Leave this record open.
- (User mode) Navigate to Project_XYZ > Project_BP_Authorization > Create a record (e.g. PA-000X) and progress it along to the End step.
- The PA-000X record in turn creates a Contract record CON-00XX with a 'Pending' status.
- Note: this record is linked to the Company_BP_001 record.Since the PA-000X was left open in pt.5 above, refresh the record and observe that the 'Amount Contracted' QBDE shows the expected amount e.g. 10,000.00
- However, closing the PA-000X record and viewing the 'Record Details' in the 'Project_BP_Authorization' Log shows the 'Amount Contracted' QBDE = 0.00
